Lachlan Hodges 31e7681da7 wifi: mac80211: correctly initialise S1G chandef for STA
When moving to the APs channel, ensure we correctly initialise the chandef
and perform the required validation. Additionally, if the AP is beaconing on a
2MHz primary, calculate the 2MHz primary center frequency by extracting
the sibling 1MHz primary and averaging the frequencies to find the 2MHz
primary center frequency.

Ramya Gnanasekar e53f8b12a2 wifi: mac80211: Fix 6 GHz Band capabilities element advertisement in lower bands
Currently, when adding the 6 GHz Band Capabilities element, the channel
list of the wiphy is checked to determine if 6 GHz is supported for a given
virtual interface. However, in a multi-radio wiphy (e.g., one that has
both lower bands and 6 GHz combined), the wiphy advertises support for
all bands. As a result, the 6 GHz Band Capabilities element is incorrectly
included in mesh beacon and station's association request frames of
interfaces operating in lower bands, without verifying whether the
interface is actually operating in a 6 GHz channel.

Fix this by verifying if the interface operates on 6 GHz channel
before adding the element. Note that this check cannot be placed
directly in ieee80211_put_he_6ghz_cap() as the same function is used to
add probe request elements while initiating scan in which case the
interface may not be operating in any band's channel.

Lachlan Hodges e0c47c6229 wifi: mac80211: support parsing S1G TIM PVB
An S1G TIM PVB has 3 mandatory encoding modes, that being
block bitmap, single AID and OBL alongside the ability for
each encoding mode to be inverted. Introduce the ability to
parse the 3 encoding formats. The implementation specification
for the encoding formats can be found in IEEE80211-2024 9.4.2.5.

Lachlan Hodges ee63609454 wifi: mac80211: support block bitmap S1G TIM encoding
An S1G TIM PVB is encoded differently compared to a non-s1g TIM PVB.
As the AP dictates which encoding mode it uses, here we only implement
block bitmap encoding. This is the default encoding mode used by
all current vendor implementations.

Additionally, S1G has a maximum AID count of 8192, however we are
limiting the current implementation to 1600. This has no resemblence
to the standard and is purely an implementation detail. The reason for
this is due to the TIM elements maximum length of 255. This allows for,
at most, 25 encoded blocks for a PVB encoded with block bitmap. Support
for the maximum of 8192 AIDs will require an implementation of page slicing
to be added to mac80211.

As a result, we perform extra validation on both the STA and AP side
when receiving an AID as an S1G interface.

Add support for block bitmap encoding for an S1G AP and limit the
maximum AID count to 1600 for the current mac80211 implementations.

Benjamin Berg 75575e2d25 wifi: mac80211: do not permit 40 MHz EHT operation on 5/6 GHz
The EHT PHY requirements state that 80 MHz must be supported on the 5
and 6 GHz bands unless the STA is 20 MHz only. So if the channel width

downgrade to HE.

The primary case where this can happen is if the hardware disables
puncturing using IEEE80211_HW_DISALLOW_PUNCTURING.

Antonio Quartulli 708243c62e wifi: mac80211: fix unassigned variable access
In ieee80211_latest_active_link_conn_timeout() we loop over all
sta->links in order to compute the timeout expiring last across
all links.

Such timeout is stored in `latest_timeout` which is used in the
time_after() comparison before having been initialized.

Fix this behaviour by initializing the variable to `jiffies` and
adapt surrouding conditions accordingly.

Note that the caller assumed latest_timeout to be 0 if no active
link was found. This is not appropriate because jiffies=0 is a
valid (and recurrent, although not often) point in time.
By using `jiffies` as default value for latest_timeout, we can
fix the caller as well.

Maharaja Kennadyrajan 1bc892d76a wifi: mac80211: extend connection monitoring for MLO
Currently, reset connection monitor (ieee80211_sta_reset_conn_monitor())
timer is handled only for non-AP non-MLD STA and do not support non-AP MLD
STA. The current implementation checks for the CSA active and update the
monitor timer with the timeout value of deflink and reset the timer based
on the deflink's timeout value else schedule the connection loss work when
the deflink is timed out and it won't work for the non-AP MLD STA.

Handle the reset connection monitor timer for non-AP MLD STA by updating
the monitor timer with the timeout value which is determined based on the
link that will expire last among all the links in MLO. If at least one link
has not timed out, the timer is updated accordingly with the latest timeout
value else schedule the connection loss work when all links have timed out.

Remove the MLO-related WARN_ON() checks in the beacon and connection
monitoring logic code paths as they support MLO now.

Maharaja Kennadyrajan 66e53e117f wifi: mac80211: extend beacon monitoring for MLO
Currently, reset beacon monitor (ieee80211_sta_reset_beacon_monitor())
timer is handled only for non-AP non-MLD STA and do not support non-AP MLD

implementation, it is treated as a single link and the timer will reset
based on the timeout of the deflink, without checking all the links.

Check the CSA flags for all the links in the MLO and decide whether to
schedule the work queue for beacon loss. If any of the links has CSA
active, then beacon loss work is not scheduled.

Also, call the functions ieee80211_sta_reset_beacon_monitor() and

Johannes Berg a597432cc9 wifi: mac80211: don't use TPE data from assoc response
Since there's no TPE element in the (re)assoc response, trying

Fix this by simply not handling the TPE data in assoc response

Johannes Berg 6b04716cdc wifi: mac80211: don't complete management TX on SAE commit
When SAE commit is sent and received in response, there's no
ordering for the SAE confirm messages. As such, don't call
drivers to stop listening on the channel when the confirm
message is still expected.

This fixes an issue if the local confirm is transmitted later
than the AP's confirm, for iwlwifi (and possibly mt76) the
AP's confirm would then get lost since the device isn't on
the channel at the time the AP transmit the confirm.

For iwlwifi at least, this also improves the overall timing
of the authentication handshake (by about 15ms according to
the report), likely since the session protection won't be
aborted and rescheduled.

Note that even before this, mgd_complete_tx() wasn't always
called for each call to mgd_prepare_tx() (e.g. in the case
of WEP key shared authentication), and the current drivers
that have the complete callback don't seem to mind. Document
this as well though.

Somashekhar Puttagangaiah a11ec0dc92 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: implement dot11ExtendedRegInfoSupport
Implement dot11ExtendedRegInfoSupport to advertise non-AP station
regulatory power capability as part of regulatory connectivity
element in (Re)Association request frames so that AP can achieve
maximum client connectivity. Control field which was interpreted
using value of 3-bits B5 to B3, now uses value of 4-bits B6 to B3 to
interpret the type of AP. Hence update IEEE80211_HE_6GHZ_OPER_CTRL_REG_INFO
to parse 4-bits control field. If older AP still updates only 3-bits
value of control field, station can still interpret the value as per
section E.2.7 of IEEE 802.11 REVme D7.0 and support the appropriate
AP type.

Also update IEEE80211_6GHZ_CTRL_REG_INDOOR_SP_AP as the value of
standard power AP is changed to 8 instead of 4 so that AP can support both
LPI AP and SP AP to maximize the connectivity with stations. For backward
compatibility, keeping value 4 as old AP by limiting it to SP AP only.

Johannes Berg 8af596e8ae wifi: mac80211: clear frame buffer to never leak stack
In disconnect paths paths, local frame buffers are used
to build deauthentication frames to send them over the
air and as notifications to userspace. Some internal
error paths (that, given no other bugs, cannot happen)
don't always initialize the buffers before sending them
to userspace, so in the presence of other bugs they can
leak stack content. Initialize the buffers to avoid the
possibility of this happening.

Lachlan Hodges c5fd399a24 wifi: mac80211: correctly identify S1G short beacon
mac80211 identifies a short beacon by the presence of the next
TBTT field, however the standard actually doesn't explicitly state that
the next TBTT can't be in a long beacon or even that it is required in
a short beacon - and as a result this validation does not work for all
vendor implementations.

The standard explicitly states that an S1G long beacon shall contain
the S1G beacon compatibility element as the first element in a beacon
transmitted at a TBTT that is not a TSBTT (Target Short Beacon
Transmission Time) as per IEEE80211-2024 11.1.3.10.1. This is validated
by 9.3.4.3 Table 9-76 which states that the S1G beacon compatibility
element is only allowed in the full set and is not allowed in the
minimum set of elements permitted for use within short beacons.

Correctly identify short beacons by the lack of an S1G beacon
compatibility element as the first element in an S1G beacon frame.

Roopni Devanathan b74947b4f6 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: Add support to get radio index
Currently, per-radio attributes are set on per-phy basis, i.e., all the
radios present in a wiphy will take attributes values sent from user. But
each radio in a wiphy can get different values from userspace based on
its requirement.

To extend support to set per-radio attributes, add support to get radio
index from userspace. Add an NL attribute - NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RADIO_INDEX,
to get user specified radio index for which attributes should be changed.
Pass this to individual drivers, so that the drivers can use this radio
index to change per-radio attributes when necessary. Currently, per-radio
attributes identified are:
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_TX_POWER_LEVEL
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_TX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_ANTENNA_RX
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_SHORT
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RETRY_LONG
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_FRAG_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_RTS_THRESHOLD
NL80211_ATTR_WIPHY_COVERAGE_CLASS
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_MEMORY_LIMIT
NL80211_ATTR_TXQ_QUANTUM

By default, the radio index is set to -1. This means the attribute should
be treated as a global configuration. If the user has not specified any
index, then the radio index passed to individual drivers would be -1. This
would indicate that the attribute applies to all radios in that wiphy.

Lachlan Hodges 1e1f706fc2 wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: correctly parse S1G beacon optional elements
S1G beacons are not traditional beacons but a type of extension frame.
Extension frames contain the frame control and duration fields, followed
by zero or more optional fields before the frame body. These optional
fields are distinct from the variable length elements.

The presence of optional fields is indicated in the frame control field.
To correctly locate the elements offset, the frame control must be parsed
to identify which optional fields are present. Currently, mac80211 parses
S1G beacons based on fixed assumptions about the frame layout, without
inspecting the frame control field. This can result in incorrect offsets
to the "variable" portion of the frame.

Properly parse S1G beacon frames by using the field lengths defined in
IEEE 802.11-2024, section 9.3.4.3, ensuring that the elements offset is
calculated accurately.

Emmanuel Grumbach ccbaf78239 wifi: mac80211: rework the Tx of the deauth in ieee80211_set_disassoc()
When we disassociate we may need to send a deauth frame.
Regardless of this decision, we need to flush the queues to drop all the
packets on the Tx queues.

The flow looks like this:

1) Flush packets waiting on the queues (drop=true)
2) Prepare Tx to send the deauth
3) Build the deauth header
4) send the deauth
5) Flush the deauth packet (drop=false)
6) Complete_tx

Step 3 and 4 are done in ieee80211_send_deauth_disassoc() and that
function must be called even if we decide not to send the deauth
frame because we need step 3 for cfg80211.

This means that if we want to send the deauth frame, we need all the
steps, but if we don't want to send the deauth frame we still want step
1 and 3.

Change the code to do that.

Also, prevent sending the deauth frame if we are in the middle of a CSA
with mode=1 in which case we won't be able to send the frame anyway.
This caused issues in iwlwifi at step 5 since the firmware wouldn't
send the frame and we'd be stuck flushing with drop=false.
Implement this in ieee80211_set_disassoc() which has many callers.
