Linus Torvalds fa5ef10561 spi: Updates for v6.19
This release is almost entirely new drivers, with a couple of small
changes in generic code. The biggest individual update is a rename of
the existing Microchip driver and the addition of a new driver for the
silicon SPI controller in their PolarFire SoCs. The overlap between the
soft IP supported by the current driver and this new one is regrettably
all in the IP and not in the register interface offered to software.

  - Add a time offset parameter for offloads, allowing them to be defined
in relation to each other. This is useful for IIO type applcations
where you trigger an operation then read the result after a delay.
  - Add a tracepoint for flash exec_ops, bringing the flash support more
in line with the debuggability of vanilla SPI.
  - Support for Airoha EN7523, Arduino MCUs, Aspeed AST2700, Microchip
PolarFire SPI controllers, NXP i.MX51 ECSPI target mode, Qualcomm
    IPQ5414 and IPQ5332, Renesas RZ/T2H, RZ/V2N and RZ/2NH and SpacemiT K1
    QuadSPI.

There's also a small set of ASoC cleanups that I mistakenly applied to
the SPI tree and then put more stuff on top of before it was brought to
 my attention, sorry about that.

platform/x86: intel_pmc_ipc: fix ACPI buffer memory leak
The intel_pmc_ipc() function uses ACPI_ALLOCATE_BUFFER to allocate memory
for the ACPI evaluation result but never frees it, causing a 192-byte
memory leak on each call.

This leak is triggered during network interface initialization when the
stmmac driver calls intel_mac_finish() -> intel_pmc_ipc().

platform/x86: asus-armoury: add ppt_* and nv_* tuning knobs
Adds the ppt_* and nv_* tuning knobs that are available via WMI methods
and adds proper min/max levels plus defaults.

The min/max are defined by ASUS and typically gained by looking at what
they allow in the ASUS Armoury Crate application - ASUS does not share
the values outside of this. It could also be possible to gain the AMD
values by use of ryzenadj and testing for the minimum stable value.

The general rule of thumb for adding to the match table is that if the
model range has a single CPU used throughout, then the DMI match can
omit the last letter of the model number as this is the GPU model.

If a min or max value is not provided it is assumed that the particular
setting is not supported. for example ppt_pl2_sppt_min/max is not set.
If a <ppt_setting>_def is not set then the default is assumed to be
<ppt_setting>_max

It is assumed that at least AC settings are available so that the
firmware attributes will be created - if no DC table is available
and power is on DC, then reading the attributes is -ENODEV.

platform/x86: asus-armoury: move existing tunings to asus-armoury module
The fw_attributes_class provides a much cleaner interface to all of the
attributes introduced to asus-wmi. This patch moves all of these extra
attributes over to fw_attributes_class, and shifts the bulk of these
definitions to a new kernel module to reduce the clutter of asus-wmi
with the intention of deprecating the asus-wmi attributes in future.

The work applies only to WMI methods which don't have a clearly defined
place within the sysfs and as a result ended up lumped together in
/sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-wmi/ with no standard API.

Where possible the fw attrs now implement defaults, min, max, scalar,
choices, etc. As en example dgpu_disable becomes:

/sys/class/firmware-attributes/asus-armoury/attributes/dgpu_disable/
├── current_value
├── display_name
├── possible_values
└── type

as do other attributes.

platform/x86: int3472: Fix double free of GPIO device during unregister
regulator_unregister() already frees the associated GPIO device. On
ThinkPad X9 (Lunar Lake), this causes a double free issue that leads to
random failures when other drivers (typically Intel THC) attempt to
allocate interrupts. The root cause is that the reference count of the
pinctrl_intel_platform module unexpectedly drops to zero when this
driver defers its probe.

This behavior can also be reproduced by unloading the module directly.

Fix the issue by removing the redundant release of the GPIO device
during regulator unregistration.

   - extcon driver updates
   - interconnect driver additions
   - eeprom driver updates and fixes
   - minor UIO driver updates
   - tiny W1 driver updates

But the majority of new code is in the rust bindings and additions,
 which includes:
   - misc driver rust binding updates for read/write support, we can now
write "normal" misc drivers in rust fully, and the sample driver
shows how this can be done.
   - Initial framework for USB driver rust bindings, which are disabled
for now in the build, due to limited support, but coming in through
this tree due to dependencies on other rust binding changes that
were in here. I'll be enabling these back on in the build in the
usb.git tree after -rc1 is out so that developers can continue to
work on these in linux-next over the next development cycle.
   - Android Binder driver implemented in Rust. This is the big one, and
was driving a huge majority of the rust binding work over the past
years. Right now there are 2 binder drivers in the kernel, selected
only at build time as to which one to use as binder wants to be
included in the system at boot time. The binder C maintainers all
agreed on this, as eventually, they want the C code to be removed from
the tree, but it will take a few releases to get there while both
are maintained to ensure that the rust implementation is fully
stable and compliant with the existing userspace apis.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while, with only minor merge
issues showing up (you will hit them as well.) Just accept both sides
of the merge, it's just some header and include file lines, nothing
 major.

Tzung-Bi Shih 56cb557279 platform/chrome: cros_ec: Add a flag to track registration state
Introduce a `registered` flag to the `struct cros_ec_device` to allow
callers to determine if the device has been fully registered and is

it has been unregistered.

Krzysztof Kozlowski c9f6256425 mtd: rawnand: s3c2410: Drop driver (no actual S3C64xx user)
The s3c2410 NAND driver still supports S3C64xx platform, which in
general is supported in the kernel. There are however no references of
"s3c6400-nand" platform device ID or "s3c24xx-nand" driver, thus this
driver cannot be instantiated for S3C64xx platform and is basically
unused.

Biju Das 74f44ad07d mmc: tmio: Add 64-bit read/write support for SD_BUF0 in polling mode
As per the RZ/{G2L,G3E} HW manual SD_BUF0 can be accessed by 16/32/64
bits. Most of the data transfer in SD/SDIO/eMMC mode is more than 8 bytes.
During testing it is found that, if the DMA buffer is not aligned to 128
bit it fallback to PIO mode. In such cases, 64-bit access is much more
efficient than the current 16-bit.

Dongcheng Yan a032fe30cf platform/x86: int3472: add hpd pin support
Typically HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridges have a pin to signal image data is
being received. On the host side this is wired to a GPIO for polling or
interrupts. This includes the Lontium HDMI to MIPI CSI-2 bridges
lt6911uxe and lt6911uxc.

The GPIO "hpd" is used already by other HDMI to CSI-2 bridges, use it
here as well.

Linus Torvalds 8be4d31cb8 Networking changes for 6.17.
Core & protocols
 ----------------

  - Wrap datapath globals into net_aligned_data, to avoid false sharing.

  - Preserve MSG_ZEROCOPY in forwarding (e.g. out of a container).

  - Add SO_INQ and SCM_INQ support to AF_UNIX.

  - Add SIOCINQ support to AF_VSOCK.

  - Add TCP_MAXSEG sockopt to MPTCP.

  - Add IPv6 force_forwarding sysctl to enable forwarding per interface.

  - Make TCP validation of whether packet fully fits in the receive
window and the rcv_buf more strict. With increased use of HW
aggregation a single "packet" can be multiple 100s of kB.

  - Add MSG_MORE flag to optimize large TCP transmissions via sockmap,
improves latency up to 33% for sockmap users.

  - Convert TCP send queue handling from tasklet to BH workque.

  - Improve BPF iteration over TCP sockets to see each socket exactly once.

  - Remove obsolete and unused TCP RFC3517/RFC6675 loss recovery code.

  - Support enabling kernel threads for NAPI processing on per-NAPI
instance basis rather than a whole device. Fully stop the kernel NAPI
thread when threaded NAPI gets disabled. Previously thread would stick
around until ifdown due to tricky synchronization.

  - Allow multicast routing to take effect on locally-generated packets.

  - Add output interface argument for End.X in segment routing.

  - MCTP: add support for gateway routing, improve bind() handling.

  - Don't require rtnl_lock when fetching an IPv6 neighbor over Netlink.

  - Add a new neighbor flag ("extern_valid"), which cedes refresh
responsibilities to userspace. This is needed for EVPN multi-homing
where a neighbor entry for a multi-homed host needs to be synced
across all the VTEPs among which the host is multi-homed.

  - Support NUD_PERMANENT for proxy neighbor entries.

  - Add a new queuing discipline for IETF RFC9332 DualQ Coupled AQM.

  - Add sequence numbers to netconsole messages. Unregister netconsole's
console when all net targets are removed. Code refactoring.
    Add a number of selftests.

  - Align IPSec inbound SA lookup to RFC 4301. Only SPI and protocol
should be used for an inbound SA lookup.

  - Support inspecting ref_tracker state via DebugFS.

  - Don't force bonding advertisement frames tx to ~333 ms boundaries.
Add broadcast_neighbor option to send ARP/ND on all bonded links.

  - Allow providing upcall pid for the 'execute' command in openvswitch.

  - Remove DCCP support from Netfilter's conntrack.

  - Disallow multiple packet duplications in the queuing layer.

  - Prevent use of deprecated iptables code on PREEMPT_RT.

 Driver API
 ----------

  - Support RSS and hashing configuration over ethtool Netlink.

  - Add dedicated ethtool callbacks for getting and setting hashing fields.

  - Add support for power budget evaluation strategy in PSE /
Power-over-Ethernet. Generate Netlink events for overcurrent etc.

  - Support DPLL phase offset monitoring across all device inputs.
Support providing clock reference and SYNC over separate DPLL
    inputs.

  - Support traffic classes in devlink rate API for bandwidth management.

  - Remove rtnl_lock dependency from UDP tunnel port configuration.

difference from other KSZ SPI switches is its register access is not a
simple continual 8-bit transfer with automatic address increase but uses
a byte-enable mechanism specifying 8-bit, 16-bit, or 32-bit access. Its
registers are also defined in 16-bit format because it shares a design
with a MAC controller using 16-bit access. As a result some common
register accesses need to be re-arranged.

This patch adds the basic structure for using KSZ8463. It cannot use the
same regmap table for other KSZ switches as it interprets the 16-bit
value as little-endian and its SPI commands are different.

KSZ8463 uses a byte-enable mechanism to specify 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit
access. The register is first shifted right by 2 then left by 4. Extra
4 bits are added. If the access is 8-bit one of the 4 bits is set. If
the access is 16-bit two of the 4 bits are set. If the access is 32-bit
all 4 bits are set. The SPI command for read or write is then added.

Because of this register transformation separate SPI read and write
functions are provided for KSZ8463.

KSZ8463's internal PHYs use standard PHY register definitions so there is
no need to remap things. However, the hardware has a bug that the high
word and low word of the PHY id are swapped. In addition the port
registers are arranged differently so KSZ8463 has its own mapping for
port registers and PHY registers. Therefore the PORT_CTRL_ADDR macro is
replaced with the get_port_addr helper function.

Move FCH header to a location accessible by all archs
A new header fch.h was created to store registers used by different AMD
drivers. This header was included by i2c-piix4 in
commit 624b0d5696 ("i2c: piix4, x86/platform: Move the SB800 PIIX4 FCH
definitions to <asm/amd/fch.h>"). To prevent compile failures on non-x86
archs i2c-piix4 was set to only compile on x86 by commit 7e173eb82a
("i2c: piix4: Make CONFIG_I2C_PIIX4 dependent on CONFIG_X86").
This was not a good decision because loongarch and mips both actually
support i2c-piix4 and set it enabled in the defconfig.

Move the header to a location accessible by all architectures.

platform/x86: int3472: Export int3472_discrete_parse_crs()

platform/x86: int3472: Stop using devm_gpiod_get()
The intent is to re-use the INT3472 code for parsing Intel camera sensor
GPIOs and mapping them to the sensor for the atomisp driver, which
currently has duplicate code.

On atomisp devices there is no special INT3472 ACPI device, instead
the Intel _DSM to get the GPIO type is part of the ACPI device for
the sensor itself.

To deal with this the mapping is done from ipu_bridge_init() instead of
from a platform-device probe() function, there is no device to tie
the lifetime of the gpiod_get() calls done by the INT3472 code to.

Switch from devm_gpiod_get() to plain gpiod_get() + explicit gpiod_put()
calls, to prepare for the code being re-used in the atomisp driver.
